Linda Schwartz, M.A., C.C.C. is a speech-language pathologist in Santa Barbara who has been providing speech therapy services since 1989. Ms.Schwartz has treated and consulted on individuals in a variety of settings including private practice, hospitals, schools, and early start. She has extensive experience in special education speech therapy services as well as medically-based speech therapy. Ms. Schwartz trained and worked at Cedars Sinai Medical Center as a staff speech-language pathologist in the acute hospital as well as in acute rehabilitation and outpatient services. She also worked at California Hospital Medical Center as the sole provider of speech pathology services for several years. Ms. Schwartz  worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District for  twenty-two years and  currently maintains a  virtual and in-person private practice, providing speech and language therapy and services remotely and in-person in Santa Barbara and remotely to individuals throughout California . Ms. Schwartz holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (C.C.C.) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in California. She is listed as a Subject Matter Expert with the Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board, Department of Consumer Affairs, State of California. Ms. Schwartz has treated individuals ranging in age from birth through adulthood who have speech, language, voice, fluency or cognitive impairments secondary to developmental delay, intellectual disability, orofacial anomalies, autism, learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, traumatic brain injury, organic brain syndrome, and stroke. Ms. Schwartz provides consultations in all areas of speech and language to parents, attorneys, advocates, and school districts as well as  virtual speech-language assessments and direct therapy. She also provides virtual consultations, assessments, and therapy to individuals interested in speech improvement. Telephone consults, consultative reports, review of records, and expert witness testimony are also available. Services are available state-wide in California.  Services may be scheduled monthly, bi-monthly or weekly or in blocks of time depending upon need. An initial  20-30 minute telephone consultation is complimentary.
